home ownership

There is a list of to do's, seemingly endless it feels. It will be nice to eventually call home, home.......as for now there is much painting to do and then the floors. The real world at the office is keeping me from helping all week. The boss is on vacation and the two new staffers are loaded with questions! Luckily Jeremy is here, helping with a great deal. Over the weekend we have one room painted thanks to my sister Stacy. The great room is now a vibrant green and beautiful furniture now stored in the garage awaiting placement. Pictures of progress to come.

one week from today......

the keys will be in hand! insurance, title, mortgage, all is done......now the waiting game.

as the days go by

The work never ends..........i long for those day in college, ones spent watching the clouds, work and the real world (aka stress and responsibilty) take up what seems like all the enjoyable moments. These days I have two staffers helping with things around the office and Jeremy does so much out of the office, you would think I should be having more free time. Cycling, sailing, studying, working, balancing it all leaves not much time. I think this a good thing. I think I need a nap.

passing inspection

Having the last inspector say, "if i were your daughter, I wouldn't let you buy this house" about a year ago and this year on a new house the inspector said "this is a great house"........ahh the feeling is great!

There is not much wrong with her, she is in great shape and only a few little updates to meet code are needed. We have room to remodel and update and in areas that will only add value: the floors and kitchen.

Here is one picture, i stole from the inspectors report but I will have more soon. I've got to remember to bring the camera next time. An added bonus, we already know we have great neighbors a fellow mountain biker.

Oh, guest bedroom will be available for those visiting from out of state and in *cough* *hint* *hint*
